The department of Orthopaedic Surgery undertakes diagnosis and treatment of bones and joints diseases by non-surgical and surgical operations. The department has state of the art operation theatre with laminar flow for joint replacement, bone and joint surgeries.

Following Type of Orthopaedic Surgeries are undertaken :

Reduction of Fractures by closed and open techniques with fixation with Plates, Screws and Nails for maintaining rigid fixation. Open fractures are treated by external fixator system. Non union of fractures are treated by Bonegrafting and rigid fixation.

Joint replacement surgeries include Total Knee Replacement (TKR) and total Hip Replacement(THR), Hemi arthroplasty, shoulder joint replacement etc.

Ligament injuries and some other joint ailments are being treated by orthoscopy.
